The 13-year-old Wexford native showcased his unique blend of comedy, charm and magic in his second performance on the show.
After receiving the coveted “golden buzzer” for his first performance on America’s Got Talent: All Stars last month, Irish magician Aidan McCann blew the show’s judges away with another memorable performance that aired in Ireland this week.
McCann, who is 13-years-old, made headlines last month after delivering a stand-out performance on America’s Got Talent: All Stars, a spinoff series of the hit American talent competition show. In his first performance, the young magician had the show’s judges – Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel – colour in a superhero sketch with colours of their choosing, before ripping off his suit and revealing he was wearing a superhero costume identical to the colours of their picture.
The Wexford native earned Klum’s golden buzzer, which automatically sent him to the show’s finale, beating out singers, dancers, comedians and other variety acts.
In his second appearance on the show, McCann delivered another crowd-pleasing performance, ramping up his comedy, charm and magic. Much to the audience’s amusement, he also had no hesitation when it came to poking fun at the judges.
“Simon, when you were a kid in the 1870s, did you have flashcards?” the magician remarked to the notoriously critical 63-year-old judge. After having Cowell select a random card from a deck, the magician moved on to Klum with much warmer remarks and asked her to look into his eyes.

“I do this to create a strong connection with the person,” he said. After a short pause, McCann added: “But in your case, I just wanted to look into your eyes,” to much laughter before presenting her with a gift box she could not open yet.
McCann then directed the audience to the stage where four balloons were hung on dart boards, with one of them containing a special prediction he made. He then called host Terry Crews to the stage, whose job was to pop the balloons the judges guessed would not contain the prediction.
“Terry, as always, you’re looking nearly as buff as me. Keep going to the gym, hang in there, you’ll get these bad boys soon enough,” he said while raising his arm muscles, receiving much laughter and applause.
Per the judges' guesses, Crews popped three of the balloons with darts showing nothing inside. After popping the final balloon himself, McCann held up a fallen octopus card, which matched the one Cowell had selected at the start of the act. Klum then opened her present, revealing an octopus stuffy.
To end his All Stars finale performance with a bang, the magician then ordered dozens of balloons to fall from the ceiling and into the audience, with each one containing an identical octopus card.

McCann's performance earned a standing ovation and positive comments from the judges.
“You’re a great comedian, you’re a great performer and you’re a great magician, and most of all, you’re an all-star,” Mandel said.
The winner of America’s Got Talent: All Stars will be announced in the series’ final episode, which is set to air in Ireland next week.
