Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes have reportedly joined Cillian Murphy for the upcoming 28 Days Later follow-up.
Killing Eve star Jodie Comer and Harry Potter villain Ralph Fiennes will reportedly be joining the star studded cast of 28 Years Later alongside widely celebrated Irish actor Cillian Murphy.
The upcoming film, a follow-up to Danny Boyle’s apocalyptic cult classic 28 Days Later, is set to drop 20 years after the original release of the sci-fi thriller.
Directed by Boyle and written by Alex Garland, the film will reportedly see Murphy return to his starring role of bicycle courier Jim, who he brought to screens for the first time during the early stages of his now expansive acting career.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 28 Year Later will be the first installment in a new trilogy for the franchise, with Boyle and Garland at the helm. A sequel to the original film was released in 2007, entitled 28 Weeks Later, however Boyle and Garland were only involved as executive producers.
Boyle and Garland initially tossed around the idea of a 20th anniversary follow-up back in 2022, initially called 28 Months Later, but the project never came to fruition. 28 Years Later was given the green-light for production earlier this year, set to continue the storyline of the zombie-creating Rage virus that infected the planet.
