He would go head-to-head with Robert Pattinson's Batman.
Another Batman movie is in the works. While the producers already settled on a new Dark Knight with Robert Pattinson, they are still looking for the perfect actor to portray his opponent. Enter Jonah Hill, who is reportedly the frontrunner for this position.
According to Collider, Hill is in talks to play iconic Batman villain The Riddler, while The Hollywood Reporter claims that the producers are still deciding between The Riddler and The Penguin. However, Collider maintain that casting Hill as The Penguin would be "too on-the-nose" for director Matt Reeves, who wants to take the Batman franchise into a new direction.
The magazine also reports that the actor is an admirer of Jim Carrey, who portrayed The Riddler in 1995's Batman Forever. The Penguin has previously been played by Danny DeVito in Batman Returns (1992).

In the meantime, it was revealed that Westworld star Jeffrey Wright is set to play one of Batman's closest allies, Commissioner Gordon. The character was portrayed by JK Simmons and Gary Oldman in the past.
Matt Reeves told The Hollywood Reporter in January about "a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale", stating: "It's more Batman in his detective mode than we've seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He's supposed to be the world's greatest detective, and that's not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been. I'd love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it's going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation."
