Since Bush made the statement, the song became her first-ever top 10 single in the U.S.
Kate Bush has made a statement on Stranger Things' use of her iconic track 'Running Up That Hill.'
After its prominent feature in the fourth season of the Netflix phenomenon, the leading single from Bush's fifth album Hounds of Love has climbed it's way up the charts, 37 years after its original release.
Bush took to her website and wrote:"You might've heard that the first part of the fantastic, gripping new series of Stranger Things has recently been released on Netflix."
She continued: "It features the song, 'Running Up That Hill,' which is being given a whole new lease of life by the young fans who love the show-I love it too!"
The timeless track has since gone viral across social media platforms including Instagram & TikTok, with the song sound-tracking nearly 400,000 video creations on TikTok.
“Because of this, ‘Running Up That Hill’ is charting around the world and has entered the UK chart at No. 8. It’s all really exciting! Thanks very much to everyone who has supported the song. I wait with bated breath for the rest of the series in July," Bush concluded.

Landing her her first-ever top 10 single in the United States, the famous track has since become a huge hit with a younger audience.
Kudos to Stranger Things for introducing the youth to such iconic and timeless tracks from the '80s.
