The Kildare Palestine Solidarity Campaign are hosting a film screening and remembrance vigil on Monday October 7 at the Kilcullen Town Hall and Heritage Centre, to mark one year of the current genocide in Palestine.
They will be screening the award winning documentary Where Olive Trees Wept, with all proceeds going to Uisce for Gaza, which campaigns to offer accessible water to the people in Gaza.
The film follows, among others, Palestinian journalist and therapist Ashira Darwish, grassroots activist Ahed Tamimi, and Israeli journalist Amira Hass, as well as Dr. Gabor Maté offering a trauma-healing therapy session to a group of women who were tortured in Israeli prisons.

The screening will be followed by a remembrance vigil where attendees will reflect on what they learned in the film and on the lives lost, in the past year and last seven decades.
Tickets for the Where Olive Trees Weep screening and remembrance vigil in Kilcullen Town Hall and Heritage Centre sell for €10 and are available here. All proceeds from tickets sales will go to support the Uisce Campaign.
