Country music fans have much to look forward to this Friday night.
The Late Late Show Country Special will feature performances and interviews with some of the biggest names in country music from Ireland and abroad. Starting the show off with a bang, Daniel O'Donnell, Nathan Carter, Cliona Hagan, Mike Denver, Michael English, Robert Mizzell, Derek Ryan and Trudi Lalor will perform a massive opening number, accompanied by 100 jivers from around the country.
The acts will then join Ryan Tubridy for a 'Circle of Friends' to share stories and anecdotes relating to this year's theme of family. Representing a range of generations, Robert Mizell and his father Richard, sisters Cliona and Nicole Hagan, and Jimmy Buckley and his daughter Claudia will all appear as guests.
Mick Flavin and his family will also join the show to discuss his twenty year career, overcoming alcoholism and raising two sons who were born deaf. Mick Flavin will then be joined by Derek Ryan, Mike Denver, Dominic Kirwan, Margo, Louise Morrissey and Mary Duff to deliver a tribute to music legend Hank Williams.
Make sure to stay tuned for the winner of the Search For a Country Star competition. After a month of auditions judged by Margo and Nathan Carter, the lucky winner will perform a song with Nathan. A selection of audience super fans will battle with Fred Cooke, Anna Geary, Michael English and Trudi Lalor in the Wagon Wheel of Fortune.
