For almost a year now, fans of the ex-Love Island host Laura Whitmore have been in wait for her upcoming project, Laura Whitmore Investigates.
Presented and commissioned by ITV's Factual Entertainment department, the three-part series was originally announced back in July 2022 and is set to premiere next month. It's a documentary series where Whitmore plans to investigate subjects of interest to her.
“It’s a dream come true to have this platform and work with a brilliant team at ITV through this series of investigative film," she said.
"Getting back to my journalistic roots, I hope we can shine a light on some really important topics and issues, and delve into a variety of serious and interesting real-life subjects.”

Laura Whitmore Investigates was once again teased earlier this year in February, when Laura excitedly confirmed her participation on another show for ITV, Laura Whitmore's Breakfast Show.
On Instagram, she reposted a picture of her posing with the ITV logo and captioned it with: "My own chat show on ITV1, ah sure go on so!" before going onto reshare the original message posted to ITV's socials.
"Congratulations to @thewhitmore who will host a new Sunday morning chat show on @itv and @itvxofficial (starts end of April)."
"Produced by Cactus Television, the series will debut in Spring of this year, with each show featuring a compelling combination of celebrity guests, topical chats, and live music."

The message concluded with a nod to her upcoming project, informing readers that "Laura is a familiar face to ITV viewers and is currently filming her own investigative documentary series, Laura Whitmore Investigates to air later this year."

ITV has said: "In this brand-new series, viewers will see a new side of Laura as she travels within the UK and further afield to delve into subjects that fascinate her and have an impact on our lives.
"We're a society which [sic] is increasingly exposed to violence via the internet, and that can lead to problems when that manifests itself in real life.
"As in so many similar situations, that often means women bear the brunt of those problems, which is what Laura will be looking at in the doc."

"This is just the beginning of a range of new opportunities as the world of Factual opens up on ITVX, with much more to come."
