Popular Netflix show, 3 Body Problem, is set to return to the digital streaming service with a lineup of entirely new episodes in what will be the show's second and final season.

Based on the trilogy of best-selling novels of the same name, 3 Body Problem follows a group of modern-day scientists forced to save mankind following a fatal decision made by a young Chinese scientist during the 1960s.

Starring Irish actor Liam Cunnigham, whose previous credits include Game of Thrones, The Wind That Shakes the Barley, and The Guard, 3 Body Problem received international praise, spending three weeks on Netflix's No.1 and reached Netflix's top 10 list in over 90 countries.

Emmy award-winning producers and storytellers trio David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo return to produce and write the additional episodes of the original Netflix series and expressed their excitement about telling this story to its end.

While Netflix has not announced the release date for 3 Body Problem, fans can rest assured that the show will continue for a final season.
