"I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent," Evan Rachel Wood wrote on Instagram yesterday, naming her abuser for the first time in public as Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner).
Following yesterday’s disturbing abuse accusations from Evan Rachel Wood and four other women, Marilyn Manson has been dropped by his record label and his talent agency, CAA.
Starz announced today that it will remove Marilyn Manson (real name Brian Warner) from his upcoming appearance in its drama series American Gods.
The show’s Twitter account shared a statement that reads, “Starz stands unequivocally with victims and survivors of abuse,” after Wood accused the musician of “grooming”, abuse and domestic violence on February 1st.
Starz will remove Manson “from the remaining episode he is in, scheduled to air later this season.” Manson has appeared in two episodes of American Gods season three, playing an Odin-worshipper named Johan.

In an Instagram post Monday night, Manson denied the accusations, calling them “horrible distortions of reality.”
AMC Networks also confirmed Manson has also been removed from an upcoming episode of the horror anthology Creepshow on Shudder.
His record label, Loma Vista Recordings, said yesterday they would cease to work with him. Manson will also be edited out of a few future media appearances.
Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood met Manson in the mid-2000s, when she was 18 and he was 36. They went public with a dating relationship in January 2007 and got engaged in January 2010 but ended the engagement later that year. Wood delivered a personal testimony before Congress three years ago about her experience with domestic violence by an unnamed ex partner. Today, she has confirmed that she was referencing 52-year-old Manson.
“The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson,” Wood wrote.
“He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”

At least four other women posted their own allegations against Manson today, detailing harrowing experiences that they claim included sexual assault, psychological abuse, and/or various forms of coercion, violence, and intimidation. The four women go by the names Ashley Walters, Sarah McNeilly Ashley Lindsay Morgan and Gabriella.
