The Tipperary star is among five actors nominated for this years BAFTA's Rising Star Award.
Following his highly praised performance in Sophia Hyde's Good Luck To You, Leo Grande, Daryl McCormack has been nominated for the BAFTA's prestigious Rising Star Award.
Good Luck To You, Leo Grande premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last January - receiving massive acclaim as well as being nominated for numerous British Independent Film Awards.
The Irish actor is up against some of the industries most reputable acts in the category such as Naomi Ackie (Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody), who has previously won a BAFTA award for her performance as Bonnie in the hit Netflix show The End of the F***ing World.

The 31-year-old actress is set to star in string of anticipated upcoming projects including a leading role in Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut Pussy Island and a role in Parasite director Bong Joon-Ho’s new film Mickey 17.
The fellow nominees include Sheila Atim (The Woman King), Sex Education stars Aimee Lou Wood (Living) and Emma Mackey (Emily).
McCormack saw a rise to success with his previous TV and film catalogue consisting of Sharon Horgan’s TV series Bad Sisters, RTÉ soap opera Fair City, Pixie, and starring alongside fellow BAFTA Rising Star Award nominee Cillian Murphy in BBC's hit show Peaky Blinders.
The EE Rising Star Award is the only category at the BAFTAs that is voted for by the public. You can vote for the Irish talent here.
The full list of BAFTA nominees will be announced this Thursday.
Winners will be announced at the EE BAFTA Film Awards which will be broadcast on Sunday 19th February 2023 from 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer, from the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London.
