The official trailer for part one of The Crown's conclusive season has just been released by Netflix.
Charting the blossoming relationship between Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) and Dodi Fayed (Khalid Abdalla), the series is finally set to depict the tragic death of the couple — who died in 1997 following a car crash in Paris. Met with a vast outpouring of national mourning, public reactions to the fatal accident blindside the Queen, as resonant shockwaves of grief shake the very foundations of the British monarchy.
Reckoning with the trauma and public controversy left in the wake of her death; the new series will also delve into the life of Prince William (Rufus Kampa), as he tries to integrate back into life at Eton in the wake of his mother’s death, whilst the monarchy attempts to ride the wave of popular public opinion.
Part one of the final season of the hit royal drama about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, will debut on Netflix on 16 November, with part two to follow in December.

The last season of the series is expected to conclude multiple storylines, from Queen Elizabeth reflecting on her lengthy tenure as Queen, Charles and Camilla (Olivia Williams) taking the next step in their relationship, and Prince William falling for a fellow student named Kate Middleton (Meg Bellamy) at the University of St. Andrews.
Since arriving on Netflix in 2016, The Crown has been one of the streamer's leading productions, receiving 15 BAFTA nominations, 10 Golden Globe Nominations (with four wins) and 69 Emmy Nominations, throughout its 5 season run.
