The show follows the 4 children of Sir Benjamin Guinness in the aftermath of his death
Netflix have announced the start of production on House of Guinness, an 8-part series inspired by the Guinness family.
Set between 19th century Dublin and New York, the series reimagines the aftermath of Sir Benjamin Guinness’ death, and how it impacts his four children.
As well as the Guinness family, the series will also follow a group of Dubliners who work with and interact with the brewery.
The cast was also announced, featuring Anthony Boyle (Masters of the Air), Emily Fairn (Black Mirror), and Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones).
Writer and co-producer Stephen Knight said in a statement that he was “thrilled that we have such an exceptional cast and such an exceptional team to tell this story inspired by an exceptional family”.

Knight is credited with writing and creating the critically acclaimed crime drama, Peaky Blinders, as well as the screenplay for Dirty Pretty Things, which earned him an Academy Award nomination.
Other cast members include Louis Partridge, Fionn O’Shea, James Norton, Niamh McCormack, Seamus O’Hara, Dervla Kirwan, Michael McElhatton, Danielle Galligan, David Wilmot, and Hilda Fay.
The episodes will be shared between two directors, with Tom Shankland directing episodes 1-5, and Mounia Akl closing it out for the final 3.
