The growing pains will continue in seasons two and three of the beloved Netflix series, Heartstopper.
Netflix has announced that their hit coming-of-age series Heartstopper will continue for two more seasons.
Following two 15-year-old boys — self-proclaimed "nerd" Charlie and star rugby player Nick — as they navigate school, friendships and their own budding relationship, the show depicts growing pains with a sort of gentle reality, laying bare the complexities of teenage-hood in the modern era as a group of friends search to find themselves within each other.
To those who have fallen in love with Nick & Charlie, cried watching Alice Oseman's magical story brought to life, or felt represented for the first time on-screen, I am elated to announce...

Debuting April, the show has seen massive global success. It shot into Netflix Top Ten lists in 54 countries, earned a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and exploded on social media, garnering over 4.3 billion TikTok views on #heartstopper. It's inspiration, a graphic novel by the same name, has seen a 1700% sales increase.
“I hope that it just makes people smile and brightens their day — but I also hope that it inspires, particularly, young queer people to believe that they can find happiness and find romance and find friendship,” author of the graphic novel, Alice Oseman, said.

"We put so much love into the making of Heartstopper so to reassemble the team for two more seasons is a dream come true,” added executive producer Patrick Walters. "I’m forever grateful to Alice Oseman for entrusting us with this beautiful, unique story that at its core seeks to uplift the next generation of young LGBTQ+ people. Stay tuned!"
The premise and release dates have yet to be revealed, though Netflix announced that author and illustrator Oseman will be returning as a writer and a creator.
