A second trailer has been released for Chamalet's upcoming film Wonka
A new teaser trailer has just been released for musical fantasy film Wonka, directed by Paul King, and set for a December 8th release.
Featuring an all star cast including Timothée Chalamet role of Willy Wonka and performances from Hugh Grant, Olivia Coleman, Matt Lucas, Sally Hawkes and Rowan Atkinson, the film promises to be a fun new take on the character of Willy Wonka.
The story takes inspiration from Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which has already twice been adapted for the silver screen once in 1971 with Gene Wilder as the infamous chocolatier and again in 2005 with Johnny Depth taking the role.
King's adaptation is set to have a fresh angle on the beloved children's classic, following the story of Chocolatier Willy Wonka's early career, from a young adult selling chocolate at a candy store to eccentric inventor known all the world over. Director Paul King is perhaps best known for his work directing both Paddington and Paddington 2, the latter of which is the highest reviewed movie of all time on Rotten Tomatoes beating long standing champion, Citizen Kane.
In spite of recent controversies regarding Road Dahl's cannon, the children's author is still a source of inspiration for film makers with three Wes Anderson short films based on adaptions by Roald Dahl the released on Netflix in September 2023.
