The seventh Canneseries festival is set to take place from April 24 until April 29.
Galway-born actress Nicola Coughlan is set to receive the Konbini Commitment Award at this year's Canneseries.
The award is presented by the French media company Konbini and commemorates individuals distinguished "by the artistic quality and societal, innovative and/or revolutionary dimension of their work."
Previous recipients include American Horror Story actress Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Transparent showrunner Joey Soloway and Sex Education creator Laurie Nunn. Coughlan will receive the award in the Lumiere Theatre on April 28.
The Irish actress first garnered international attention for her role as Clare Devlin in Derry Girls, the critically acclaimed Channel 4 comedy set in the final years of The Troubles. The series became popular worldwide following its addition to Netflix's streaming library.

In 2020, Coughlan starred in Netflix's hit period drama Bridgerton as Penelope Featherington. She also featured in Greta Gerwig's Barbie, and more recently in Doctor Who's Christmas special.
The Cannes International Series Festival, often called Canneseries, is an annual festival in Cannes which celebrates artistic and technical work in television. 2025's festival, which will be held from April 24 to 29, marks the seventh year of the event.
