Normal People earns Golden Globe nomination for 'Best Limited Series or TV Film'
The awards ceremony, hosted by Tina Fey in New York and Amy Poehler in Los Angeles, takes place on Sunday, February 28th.
Smash hit BBC/Hulu drama Normal People has bagged a Golden Globe nomination in the category of Best Limited Series or TV Film.
Directed by Lenny Abrahamson, the television adaptation of Sally Rooney's hugely popular novel of the same name broke streaming records around the world last year when it aired.
Daisy Edgar-Jones, who played the role of Marianne Sheridan, has also received a nomination for 'Actress in a Limited Series of TV Film' against Anya Taylor-Joy, Cate Blanchett, Shira Haas and Nicole Kidman.
Normal People will compete against The Queen's Gambit, Small Axe, The Undoing and Unorthodox in the Best Limited Series or TV Film category.
Jones previously missed out on an Emmy Award nomination for the same role, whereas her co-star Paul Mescal nabbed a nomination for his role as Conor Waldron. Lenny Abrahamson was also nominated for his directing talents, as well as Sally Rooney and Louise Kiely for her casting skills.
The Golden Globe nominations were announced by former winners Taraji P Henson and Sarah Jessica Parker.
