Normal People has been nominated for Best New Drama in the UK National Television awards.
Normal People was amongst the nominees in the public vote, alongside Line Of Duty’s Adrian Dunbar and TV presenter Graham Norton. Normal People was nominated for Best New Drama, alongside Bridgerton, Des and It’s A Sin.
Graham Norton has been shortlisted for the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award for The Graham Norton Show. Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here and Taskmaster make up the other nominees.
Dunbar was nominated for Best Drama Performance alongside his Line Of Duty co-stars, Martin Compston and Vicky McClure. Olly Alexander of It’s A Sin and David Tennant from Des were also nominated for the award.
Line Of Duty was nominated for Best Returning Drama along with Broadchurch, Call the Midwife and The Crown. Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Eastenders and Hollyoaks were nominated for the Best Serial Drama award.

Sally Carman who plays Abi Franklin in Coronation Street, Danny Dyer who stars as Mick Carter in Eastenders, Mollie Gallagher who acts as Nina Lucas in Coronation Street and Billy Price who plays Sid Summer in Hollyoaks were all nominated for Best Serial Drama Performance.
Rose Ayling-Ellis who plays Frankie Lewis in Eastenders, Rhiannon Clements who acts as Summer Ranger in Hollyoaks, Olivia D’Lima who stars as paramedic Fenisha Khatri in Casualty, Emile John who plays Ethan Anderson in Emmerdale and Jude Riordan who stars as Sam Blakeman in Coronation Street were nominated for Best Newcomer.
Voting for the awards is currently open, and the show will be hosted by Joel Dommet in London on September 9th.
