Universal Pictures have released a trailer for Wes Anderson's The Phoenician Scheme, set to arrive in Irish cinemas on May 23.
The logline describes the film as a "dark tale of espionage following a strained father-daughter relationship within a family business," where "twists revolve around betrayal and morally gray choices."
The Phoenician Scheme stars Benicio del Toro as Zsa-zsa Korda, one of the richest men in Europe; Mia Threapleton as Liesl, his daughter, who happens to be a nun; and Michael Cera as Bjorn, their tutor.
The cast also includes Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hanks, Riz Ahmed, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Rupert Friend, and Hope Davis.
The film was directed and co-produced by Anderson, who also wrote the screenplay. The story is credited to both Anderson and filmmaker Roman Coppola.

Wes Anderson is an acclaimed filmmaker born in Houston, Texas. His 2014 film The Grand Budapest Hotel received nine nominations at the 87th Academy Awards, ultimately winning four.
He is also known for features such as 2021's The French Dispatch or 2023's Asteroid City.
