More cast members have been announced for the Disney+ Malcolm in the Middle revival.
According to Variety, Cristopher Masterson and Justin Berfield will reprise their roles as Francis and Reese, while Erik Per Sullivan will not return as Dewey. He will be replaced by Caleb Ellsworth-Clark (Fargo, The Expanse).
Per Sullivan not returning has not come as a surprise to fans, as he stopped acting shortly after the series wrapped up. He has not participated in cast reunions either.
Other additions to the cast include Anthony Timpano (Riverdale), Vaughan Murrae (Before I Change My Mind), and Keeley Karsten (The Fabelmans). Timpano and Murrae will play Malcolm's siblings Jamie and Kelly, while Karsten will play Leah, Malcolm's daughter.
The Malcolm in the Middle revival was announced last December by Disney Branded Television as a four-episode series, with original cast members Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek reprising their roles as Malcolm and parents Hal and Lois, respectively.
Series creator Linwood Boomer was also announced as writer and executive producer for the reboot.

It was later revealed that Kiana Madeira will play Tristan, Malcolm's girlfriend.
The series' logline reads: "Malcolm and his daughter are drawn into the family’s chaos when Hal and Lois demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party."
Production is scheduled to take place in Vancouver in the following weeks.
The series' premiere date has not been announced yet.
