Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath film and soundtrack set for release
The film will also release in Blu-ray on December 11.
Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath's Back To The Beginning concert film has arrived in cinemas, with the soundtrack set for release on December 11.
The Ben Wainwright-Pearce directed film shows behind-the-scenes footage of the Back to the Beginning concert that took place on July 5, 2025 in Birmingham, England.
The original event, organised by Sharon Osbourne with musical direction from Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, marked both Osbourne's final solo performance and the last ever show from Black Sabbath's original lineup. It was also the frontman, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward's first time playing live together in two decades.
The sold-out show, which took place just 17 days before Osbourne's death, had more than three million requests for the 44,000 available tickets. The gig raised around £11 million (€13.1 million) for charity.
Other performances on the night came from Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Tool, Slayer, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Gojira, Anthrax, Lamb of God, Mastodon and more.
"Back to the Beginning was a once-in-a-lifetime event that will go down in music history," said Sharon Osbourne. "Ozzy suffered from chronic pain during the final six years of his life. His only wish was to perform one last time to thank his fans and say goodbye.
"It was an incredible day when his peers in the rock world descended on Aston from all over the globe to celebrate his legendary talent and extraordinary legacy."
The film footage also includes Jack Black performing 'Mr. Crowley' and Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst performing 'Changes', as well as a Sounds of Birmingham documentary. Video tributes to Osbourne from Dolly Parton, AC/DC, Ricky Gervais and more also feature.
The film will release in Blu-ray on December 11th, alongside the soundtrack on CD, vinyl and digital.
The eight-song soundtrack focuses solely on Osbourne and Black Sabbath's performances, including 'I Don't Know', 'Mr. Crowley', 'Suicide Solution', 'Mama, I'm Coming Home', 'Crazy Train', 'War Pigs', 'N.I.B.', 'Iron Man', and 'Paranoid'.
In advance of the release, a video of Osbourne performing 'Mr. Crowley' at the concert is available to watch below.
