The thriller marks the directing debut of Christopher Andrews, who also penned the screenplay.
Normal People star Paul Mescal and Mank actor Tom Burke have been cast to lead a brand new Irish revenge thriller titled Bring Them Down.
Set in the wild landscape of the West of Ireland, the film follows an shepherd who is drawn into violent conflict with a neighbouring farm when his sheep are massacred by unknown men.
Produced by Ivana MacKinnon, Ruth Treacy, Julianne Forde, Ilya Stewart and Jacob Swan Hyam; production is set for late 2021.
Christoper Andrews' feature script for Bring Them Down was in development with Stray Bear productions and BBC Films, and was included on the 2018 Brit List under its original title Shepherd. Andrews has written and directed the renowned short films Fire (2015) and 2018's Stalker.
Mescal was Emmy-nominated for his depiction of Connell in the BBC Three/Hulu adaptation of Sally Rooney’s novel Normal People.
The Maynooth actor is set to star in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directional debut The Lost Daughter and he will star as the lead in Benjamin Millepied’s Carmen. He is currently in New South Wales filming for the role opposite fellow rising star Melissa Barrera.

Burke is known for his portrayal of Orson Welles in David Fincher’s Netflix movie Mank, while he has also played key roles in Joanna Hogg’s The Souvenir, with part two of that film to come.
He made appearances in BBC’s Strike and Netflix’s The Crown, building up a strong portfolio.
