With the Dublin Film Festival being held virtually this year, 'Drifting' will be available to watch online from March 3rd to March 14th.
A 14-minute short film starring Paul Mescal is set to stream as part of this year’s Dublin International Film Festival.
Drifting revolves around the story of two friends, Pat and Cian, who chart their lives as they begin to grow apart.
The Normal People actor will play Cian, who “is content to coast through a life of booze and casual hook-ups” according to a synopsis.
Meanwhile, his best friend Pat (Dafhyd Flynn) “has begun to grow weary of his surroundings”.
Premiered in 2020, Drifting is co-written and co-directed by filmmaker Robert Higgins, who made the announcement via Twitter.
“Delighted to have ‘Drifting’ screening as part of this year’s @DublinFilmFest. Been a regular attendee of the festival for years so it’s great to be screening at it for the first time!” wrote Robert Higgins.

The film will be available to watch online from March 3rd to March 14th, due to the Covid-19 pandemic forcing the festival to be carried out online.
Tickets for the short film programmes, all of which take place on March 3rd, are available now here, while the full programme is set to be launched on February 3rd.
