Mark the date in your calendars.
TG4 is broadcasting a series of rock documentaries and concerts this Christmas, with Rory Gallagher Irish Tour 1974 being one of the top pics.
Rory Gallagher's 1974 tour showcased an artist who was at the peak of their powers and it became one of his most legendary series of gigs.
Gallagher's 1974 tour will be remembered as much for his commitment to playing all over the country, as it will be for his incredible guitar-playing. Rory refused to let political violence in the North stop him from rocking to crowds at the Ulster Hall in Belfast, marking him as one of the most dedicated musicians out there.
Rory Gallagher Irish Tour 1974 will be broadcast on TG4 at 10.30pm on December 30.
TG4 said: "Rory Gallagher was the People's Guitarist. Unassuming but tenacious, the Irish blues man devoted his life to touring and playing his beloved Fender Strat to adoring audiences. He never stopped working, and could always command a crowd. During the heightened periods of heavy violence and political unrest in Ireland, when other artists dared not come near the place, Gallagher was resolute about touring Ireland winning him the dedication of thousands of fans, and in the process, becoming a role model for other aspiring young Irish musicians such as U2."
On top of this, here's a list of other rock documentaries and live concerts showing throughout the Christmas fortnight on TG4:
