Actor John Connors insists that new Love/Hate series will be released next year
Following comments made by actor John Connors on the return of Love/Hate, RTÉ have said there are “no plans” to renew the series.
Yesterday, Connors said on Virgin Media’s Six O’Clock Show that the iconic Irish crime drama was approaching production for a new season.
“It is coming back,” Connors said. “It’s going into production later this year, so it'll be out next year.”
“I wasn’t meant to say anything until tomorrow,” the actor continued. “I’m being serious, hand on my heart.”
A spokesperson for RTÉ responded to Connors’ claim, saying “There are no plans for a new series of Love/Hate.”

“It’s not on RTÉ,” Connors said. “It’s on Netflix, they’re bringing it back.”
Connors also announced that he will provide more news about the show on an upcoming episode of The Sons of Katie podcast, alongside his brothers and Love/Hate writer Stuart Carolan.
