The documentary rerun will be in tribute to the late singer, and will air on RTÉ One at 10.35pm this evening.
Following the tragic death of Christy Dignam earlier this month, RTÉ will once again broadcast their 2017 documentary This is Christy, featuring the late Aslan frontman.
Dignam passed away on June 13 at the age of 63 after a ten-year battle with a rare blood cancer. Tributes poured in from across the world in the wake of his death, from global celebrities and political figures including The Script, Bono and President Michael D. Higgins.

The documentary followed Christy and Aslan as they prepared to play a sell-out gig at the Iveagh Gardens in their home city of Dublin.
This is Christy promises to give viewers an "intimate portrait of an artist who battled back from some of life’s deepest traumas including sexual abuse, drug addiction and cancer", according to the official synopsis. The synopsis also states that the documentary will "offer a revealing and evocative insight into the life and creative impulse of one of the leading singer-songwriters of his generation".
The documentary captures Christy's personal story, with Christy speaking frankly and honestly about the obstacles he has faced; the importance of his family, and where he got his love of music. Viewers will see how Christy’s illness impeded his daily life, and how he battled with his condition while still being the charismatic and beloved frontman of one of Ireland’s most enduringly popular bands.
This is Christy will air on RTÉ One on Wednesday, June 21st, at 10.35pm.
