"A luminous presence in the worlds of entertainment and advocacy, Jiggly Caliente was celebrated for her infectious eenergy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity," the star's family wrote on Instagram. "She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the genuine connection she fostered with fans around the world."
RuPaul's Drag Race star Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known as Jiggly Caliente, has died at age 44.
The drag performer's family announced her death in a statement on Instagram.
"It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente," the statement read. "Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, at 4:42am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends."
"Her legacy is one of love, courage and light," it continued. "Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever."
"She will be deeply missed, always loved and eternally remembered."

The news follows a previous statement from her family announcing that Castro-Arabejo had "experienced a serious health setback", having her right leg amputated "due to a severe infection."
Born in the Philippines in 1980, she moved to New York with her family at a young age. Castro-Abrejo appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race in 2012, quickly becoming a fan favourite for her sense of humour and chemistry with the other drag queens.
She returned to Drag Race in 2022 for its All-Star season and was set to judge on the latest season of Drag Race Philippines.
Fellow drag performers and judges posted tributes online to Castro-Abrejo.
Filipina-American drag queen Manila Luzon said that she was heartbroken by the passing of her best friend of 25 years, saying "rest in peace, little sis! Your mug is still flawless!"

Drag Race judge Michelle Visage said "This world has lost an angel and we want you to soar high."
"I just lost my favourite seatmate," said Drag Race Philippines judge Jervi Wrightson, AKA Kaladkaren. "Drage Race Philippines will never be the same without you."
