The next season of Netflix's Wednesday is set to go into production in Ireland – with filming starting in spring 2024.
Netflix's Wednesday was renewed for another season back in January. The second season of the hit show is set to start filming in April 2024 in Ireland.
The record-breaking first season originally debuted last November on Netflix – breaking multiple streaming series records, including most hours viewed for an English language series in its first week with over 341 million hours. The series was shot in Romania from September 2021 to March 2022.
The show follows Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams as she enrols at Nevermore Academy. According to the official first season description, Wednesday “attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorised the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”
