The adaption will air first on the new Virgin Media exclusive channel.
Virgin Media has announced a new TV channel of original programming which will include the anticipated adaption of the best-selling Graham Norton novel Holding.
The show of the same name will debut on 'Virgin Media More', an exclusive new channel for Virgin Media customers this April.
Plenty of well-known Irish actors are among the cast for the series, including Conleth Hill (Game of Thrones) in the lead role of Sergeant PJ Collins, Siobhán McSweeney (Derry Girls), Charlene McKenna (Peaky Blinders), Clinton Liberty (Normal People) and the Oscar-winning Brenda Fricker (My Left Foot).
It will be the first showing of the series in Ireland after it aired on ITV earlier this month.
Another new drama coming to the channel is Trigger Point starring Line of Duty actress Vicky McClure as a bomb disposal expert. The show is about "the Metropolitan Police bomb disposal squad and counter terrorism unit confronting an imminent terrorist threat in the City of London over the Summer" according to a press release.

There will also be sport offerings on display, with all of the upcoming Europa League knock-out matches airing on the channel, as well as new episodes of the interview series Sports Stories featuring Graeme Souness and Mick McCarthy.
“Virgin Media More does exactly what its name suggests and offers customers more of their favourite shows first," says Paul Higgins, Vice President of Commercial at the company.
Holding launches on Virgin Media More on April 12 at 9pm.
