Announced last January, the unnamed film will now feature South Park co-creator Trey Parker not just as a producer but also the project's director
Collaborating on a new project Trey Parker, South Park co-creator and creator of The Book of Mormon, and Grammy-winner rap star Kendrick Lamar are set to produce an as-of-yet named film.
The news came about last year in January, Parker and his South Park co-creator Matt Stone disclosing the deal with Paramount. Dave Free, Lamar's long-time creative partner, will also be involved in producing the live-action project.
Now, according to Above The Line, Parker is now also slated to direct the comedy.

The South Park Emmy-winning screenwriter Vernon Chatman handled writing the script. Reportedly, it follows a young Black man working as an intern at a living history museum as a slave reenactor. When he looks into his and his white girlfriend's family histories, he finds her ancestors owned his.
Production will be handled by both the South Park creators' Park County Television Studio and Kendrick Lamar and David Free's company pgLang. When it will begin has yet to be disclosed.
