Ahead of his directorial debut, Bruce Springsteen takes it back to what he does best: performing music.
Bruce Springsteen has shared a performance video of 'Sundown', captured for his upcoming directorial debut Western Stars. 'Sundown' is included in both the film and accompanying soundtrack album Western Stars – Songs From The Film from Columbia Records, which will both be released on October 25.
The soundtrack album pulls the audio from the film, which includes performances of every song from Springsteen’s most recent studio album of the same name, as well as a cover of Glen Campbell’s “Rhinestone Cowboy.” Springsteen performs each of the fourteen songs with special guest Patti Scialfa, backed by a band and full orchestra under the cathedral ceiling of a historic, nearly 100-year-old barn at Stone Hill Farm in Colts Neck, NJ.
