Filming has begun in Dublin and County Meath, Ireland.
Steve Wall has joined the international cast of the martial arts supernatural action-comedy Kung Fu Deadly.
The lead singer and songwriter of Irish bands The Walls and The Stunning has taken on a variety of roles beyond music. His acting credits include Black Doves, Dune: Part Two, and Oddity, the latter earning him an IFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He is also part of the lead cast in The English, a six-part Western mini-series starring Emily Blunt.
Produced by Paddy McDonald, who also wrote the script with Nicholas Cooper, the Irish-Australian co-production is being directed by Fergal Costello.
McDonald commented: “It is truly a privilege to be bringing such a novel and exciting movie to audiences with such a wonderfully talented cast and crew, and in partnership partners who are so supportive of the vision for this ground breaking Irish genre movie with tons of action and even more. We can’t wait to share it with audiences.”
