Season 3 of Stranger Things ended with a heartbreaking farewell scene as Joyce, Eleven, Will and Jonathan leave Hawkins after Hopper's sacrificial death. But is he really dead though? In a post-credit scene, it was revealed that an "American" is held hostage in a Russian prison. "The American" might very well be Hopper.
So, if we're not going back to Hawkins, where will season 4 take place? The teaser suggests that we're going to see a lot more of the Upside Down in the new season, but it's also possible that we follow Joyce, Eleven and the boys to wherever they moved to. Part of the plot might also take place in Russia as something is going on it that prison. Nothing has been confirmed yet, so only time will tell.
In other news, series creators the Duffer Brothers signed a multiyear film and TV deal with Netflix, The Hollywood Reporter revealed yesterday. According to sources, the deal is worth nine figures. That means, we're going to see a lot more content by the duo that gave us Stranger Things in the future.
