Pop superstar Taylor Swift is bringing her worldwide Eras Tour to cinemas this fall. She announced the release of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour on her Twitter, set to release across cinemas in North America on October 13th and described as a "theatrical concert experience".
Details of a worldwide release of the film, including in Ireland, have not yet been revealed.
"The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon," wrote Swift in the film's announcement post, which included a trailer. "Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged."

Despite the film's widespread North American release, demand for tickets has already forced some cinemas to change their preorder ticketing systems. The American movie theatre chain AMC has implemented a queuing system reminiscent of Ticketmaster, the wait times even lasting over twenty minutes as Swifties immediately rushed to preorder their cinema tickets months in advance.

October is gearing up to be a Swift-heavy month. During a recent show in California, Swift announced her 1989 (Taylor's Version) album would be released on October 27th, just two weeks after the release of her concert film.
Another rerecording, Speak Now (Taylor's Version), was released in July and is the third outing in her plan to re-record her first six albums, following manager Scooter Braun's sale of her early catalogue. In the same month, it was announced that Swift had achieved more number-one albums than any other woman in history.
She received eight nominations at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, the most of any artist for 2023.
Earlier this year, the Grammy-winner announced three shows at Dublin’s 3 Arena for Summer 2024 as part of her Eras Tour, each of which is now sold out due to overwhelming demand.
