Taylor Swift has shared a haunting version of her 2017 single 'Look What You Made Me Do', which played over the Killing Eve title sequence in the most recent episode of the comedy spy series.

The Reputation track was said to be covered by a band called Jack Leopards and The Dolphin Club, with the song being credited to them on streaming services, but the group have no other records listed and return zero results online.

The sombre cover is entirely in theme with the menace of the hit show - written by Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who Swift once begged to let her brother sing on the Killing Eve soundtrack.

The credits on the cover list the original songwriters — Fred Fairbrass, Richard Fairbrass, Rob Manzoli, and Taylor Swift. But this cover lists a producer called ‘Nils Sjöberg’, alongside Jack Antonoff.

Nils Sjöberg is a songwriting pseudonym that Swift once used for the track ‘This Is What You Came For’, which she wrote with then-boyfriend Calvin Harris. Nils Sjöberg’s name was also recognised from tombstone in the original ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ music video.

Fans are now speculating that the man singing the cover is Swift’s brother Austin, and the song was re-recorded in order to stop Scooter Braun profiting from the royalties.

Braun acquired Swift's old record label, Big Machine Records, last year, causing a major rift between the singer and record executive.

The Lover musician maintained her pledge to re-record all of her previous albums in order to stop Braun making a cent from royalties, so the latest Killing Eve cover is likely to be the star in disguise.
