Elsewhere, nominations for best original song will see Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga up head to head.
The nominations for the 2023 annual Golden Globe awards took place earlier today, hosted by George Lopez and Mayan Lopez.
As expected, Martin McDonagh's The Banshees of Inisherin has scooped up some major awards, topping the film categories. Nominations for the film - set in Ireland - include Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Director for McDonagh and numerous acting nominations for its cast.
Last year, the Globes were boycotted by A-listers and studios over lack of diversity amongst voters, alleged corruption and lack of professionalism, and the show took place behind closed doors.
In 2023, after a scrambled to reform itself since long-harboured criticisms of the group's practices went public in early 2021, the Golden Globes will attempt to rebuild its reputation as one of Hollywood's top award shows.
Over the last year, the association has approved interim Chief Executive Todd Boehly’s proposal to acquire the Globes, established new bylaws, banned gifts, hired a chief diversity officer and added 21 new members plus 103 international nonmember voters.
