For the second year in a row, the traditional annual Irish Cancer Society fundraiser was forced to cancel due to the lockdown.
This Friday night will see a host of stars join Ryan Tubridy for The Late Late Show's Daffodil Day special, featuring Westlife's Shane Filan, Jedward, Irish indie-rock band Inhaler and Cavan GAA player Oisin Kiernan.
With the Irish Cancer Society annual fundraiser forced to cancel once again this year, The Late Late Show is getting behind the initiative and raise vital money to fund the charity.
Donations will go towards helping the organisation's night nursing services, the Irish Cancer Society support line, free counselling services for cancer patients and their families, as well as the 13 Daffodil Centres located at major hospitals across the country.
Westlife star Shane Filan will be in the studio speaking to Ryan for the first time about how he dealt with recently losing both of his parents - Mae and Peter - to cancer, only ten months apart.
Shane will discuss the vital work of the Irish Cancer Society in providing support for patients and families dealing with cancer. He will also share news on Westlife's upcoming tour and album plans and perform a Westlife favourite, dedicated to the memory of his parents. The band reunited in 2018 after six years apart, releasing their latest LP Spectrum and embarking on an arena tour. They recently announced a new record deal with East West Records after parting ways with EMI Records "by mutual consent".

Arguably pop music's most entertaining twins Jedward - known globally for their outstandingly high quiffs - will be shaving their heads live on air to help raise money for Daffodil Day.
John and Edward's mother Susanna died from cancer two years ago, and said of their upcoming appearance on the show:
"We are honouring the memory of all those who have come and gone, we are sending strength and love to all those suffering.
"It's heartbreaking that all our loved ones aren't with us, but they will be looking down on us from heaven."
Cavan footballer Oisin Kiernan will be speaking about his diagnosis and treatment for testicular cancer, his subsequent GAA comeback and his advice for young men watching.
Ryan will also meet some of the army of colourful volunteers who swim, run, bucket-shake, drive and cycle each year all in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. CEO of the charity Averil Power will share her own personal experience with the night nursing service.
Irish indie-rock band Inhaler will also stop by to perform their latest hit single, 'Cheer Up Baby'. This will be the debut Late Late Show performance for the Dublin quartet, who performed the track on The Late Late Show with James Corden on St. Patrick's Day last week.
