In a first for the RTÉ talk show, Sheeran is interviewed by Ryan in the round, surrounded by his fans who got the opportunity to speak with the singer and listen to exclusive acoustic performances of hits like ‘Perfect’ and ‘Eyes Closed’, including one taken from his new album.
The two-part interview also sees the 32-year-old singer speak candidly about the loss of his close friend Jamal Edwards, as well as the tumultuous 2022 he experienced following his wife Cherry’s cancer diagnosis.
As well as discussing the Irish influences in his life, RTÉ reports the singer-songwriter has a surprise for the Late Late show host that leaves him speechless.
Home-grown Monaghan star Catríona Balfe will also appear opposite Tubridy on Friday to discuss the enduring success of Outlander- the tv series now in its seventh season.
