Already a smash hit Stateside, David E. Kelley’s adaptation of the C.J. Box novel, The Highway, arrives here courtesy of Disney’s new general entertainment channel. A private detective and his former ex-cop wife reluctantly join forces to find two sisters who’ve been kidnapped by a truck driver. As they delve into the case, it becomes apparent that they’re dealing with a serial offender who’s been getting away with murder for years. Soulmates (Now, Amazon Prime)
Set 15 years into the future, this six-part anthology is based on the premise that science has come up with a way of determining your perfect partner. Needless to say, it’s a bit tricky when the person you’re already with ain’t them. Mancunian Irish actor Rebecca Scott, who previously appeared in Game Of Thrones, is among the Who’s Who of talented young character actors whose emotions get kicked around like foootballs.
Bloods (March 10, Sky One)
Ab Fab’s Jane Horrocks and one of the stars of BBC Three’s razorsharp Famalam sketch show, Samson Kayo, play an extremely odd couple of paramedics in this 999 call-out comedy. Also new from sister channel Sky Atlantic is ZeroZeroZero, a drug cartel drama filmed across three continents and in six languages by the same team as Gomorrah.
Your Honor (March 2, Sky Atlantic)
While destined it seems to never match the televisual majesty of Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston enjoys himself immensely in this reboot of a ratings-topping Israeli drama. Judge Michael Desiato faces an ethical dilemma when the teenager his son kills in a hit and run accident turns out to be the offspring of a New Orleans mob boss. Should he turn himself in and risk an almost certain behind bars whacking or do a legger? All will be revealed over the course of eight action-packed episodes…

Invincible (March 26, Amazon Prime)
Mark Hamill is among the heavyweights lending his voice to this animated son of a superhero yarn from the fertile mind of Robert Kirkman. The Image Comics supremo also ropes in a job lot of actors from The Walking Dead, another of the shows he created, who sound like they’re having a blast throughout.
The Investigation (Now, RTÉ Player)
If you missed this superior Scandi drama on BBC2, fear not, because the state broadcaster is treating you to it as a bingeable box-set. Taking its cue from the real life murder of journalist Kim Wall by a wealthy inventor who’d invited her on to his homemade submarine (that old trope again), the Danish six-parter focuses on the investigating homicide officers as they start piecing together their case.
