A villain featured in the viral Glasgow Willy’s Chocolate Experience is set to become the subject of a new horror movie
Glasgow's Willy Wonka Experience exploded on social media as a cataclysmic disaster.
This whole incident started when an AI-generated advertisement was posted, enticing parents to spend up to £35 on an "immersive experience" inspired by the recent box office success, prequel Wonka (2023). The event was advertised as a "journey filled with wondrous creations and enchanting surprises at every turn."
Instead, the parents and eager children were presented with a poorly put-together cast of characters in what one visitor described as "an abandoned, empty warehouse." This decorated repository was one of many industrial estates in Whiteinch.
Eva Stewart (19), of East Kilbride, said that she saw children crying with disappointment at the event which was scheduled to run on Saturday and Sunday.
One father said that kids received their promised two jelly beans each and a quarter cup of lemonade, adding that were was, in fact, no chocolate.

Police were subsequently called to this event as angry Glasgow families demanded refunds. It was cancelled by organisers House of Illuminati halfway through Saturday due to complaints by numerous parents.
According to actor Paul Connell, who portrayed Willy Wonka in the event, he was shocked when he arrived at the warehouse and realised that the rubric he had been given was impossible to fulfil as he noticed that he wasn't supplied with any of the props or special effects that were promised.
The incident spread so quickly through social media, gaining popularity, that Kaledonia Pictures is rushing a new movie into production to capitalise on this worldwide notoriety.
The horror film will centre on The Unknown, a character conceived for the Glasgow show. Connell reported seeing a script that was "15 pages of AI-generated gibberish," and it was from there that the character the "Unknown" was born.
Kaledonia Pictures teases, “The film, gearing up for production and a late 2024 release, follows a renowned illustrator and his wife who are haunted by the tragic death of their son, Charlie. Desperate to escape their grief, the couple leave the world behind for the remote Scottish Highlands – where an unknowable evil awaits them.”

In an interview by Bloody Disgusting, the company announces, “We are excited to begin production and look forward to sharing more with you as soon as possible. We are actually only a few miles from the event, so it is quite surreal to see Glasgow all over social media, worldwide.”
Connell has described this character as one who "is an evil chocolate maker who lives in the walls."
Regarding the incident, one representative for the House of Illuminati said: "Today has been a very stressful and frustrating day for many and for that we are truly sorry. Unfortunately, at the last minute we were let down in many areas of our event and tried our best to continue on and push through and now realise we probably should have cancelled first thing this morning instead. We fully apologise for what has happened and will be giving full refunds to each and every person that purchased tickets.
"We planned a fabulous event and it just did not take shape as planned and for that we are truly sorry, we are devastated at how this has turned out and understand people's anger and frustration that everyone has had, refunds have already started being issued and the rest should be over the coming days, again we are truly sorry to everyone."

Connell said that he was told to improvise when he asked the organisers what he should do with the script.
The organisers confirmed that full refunds would be given to customers, which could take up to 10 days.
In a video uploaded to TikTok, Connell speaks out on his experience and all of the 'red flags' he saw before and during the event.
