The 2023 VMAs will air tonight at 1am on MTV.
The 40th annual Video Music Awards will be aired tonight live from the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey.
Live performances are expected from massive artists like Doja Cat, Shakira and Fall Out Boy, as well as some newer artists such as Sabrina Carpenter and Renée Rapp.
Carpenter recently played a sold out gig in Dublin's 3Olympia where Rapp is set to play in March 2024. Rapp is also nominated for multiple awards tonight including best new artist.
Other performances include, Kaliii, Future, Måneskin, Swae Lee, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, The Warning, Stray Kids, Peso Pluma, NLE Choppa, Nicki Minaj, LL Cool J, NAV, Metro Boomin, Lil Wayne, Kelsea Ballerini, KAROL G and the multi-nominated Olivia Rodrigo.
Many of the performers are nominated for awards tonight.

Also nominated for multiple awards are South Korean boyband TOMORROW X TOGETHER, who only debuted in 2019.
Most notably Taylor Swift holds the spot for most nominations this year with a whopping 11 up for grabs. She is up for artist of the year against the likes of Beyoncé and Doja Cat. Swift is also in the running for video of the year for her the lead single from her tenth studio album, Midnights, 'Anti Hero'.
