Amazon MGM Studios is set to make the star golfer's life and early career into a film, with the Obamas to produce.
Amazon MGM Studios has acquired the film rights to Kevin Cook's biography of Tiger Woods, The Tiger Slam: The Inside Story of the Greatest Golf Ever Played, Deadline reports.
Reinaldo Marcus Green, director of Bob Marley: One Love and King Richard, will helm the golfer's biopic. Higher Ground, Barack and Michelle Obama's production company, is in talks to produce with veteran filmmaker Irwin Winkler.
The film is expected to focus on Woods' early career, much like the book which explored the golfer's younger years through interviews with his caddie, his coach, his idols and his opponents.
In 1997, Woods won the Masters Tournament with what remains to be the largest margin in the competition's history. This also made him the first black golfer to win a major championship.

He went on to win four consecutive major tournaments between 2000 and 2001 in what became known as "The Tiger Slam", and is still considered the greatest feat in golf history.
Woods has continued to maintain a strong career, in spite of scandals and injuries, with fifteen total championship wins. His most recent championship victory was at the 2019 Masters Tournament.
