Evergreen Hollywood star Jamie Lee Curtis will be in Dublin this evening as she attends a special screening of her new film Halloween at the Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield. She'll be stopping off in the Late Late Show studio afterwards to chat to Ryan Tubridy about the film, whose original she also starred in back in 1978.

A horror film veteran, the True Lies and A Fish Called Wanda star will also be talking about her wider, extensive career, as well as how she managed to forge a name for herself in the industry after growing up as the daughter of Hollywood greats Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh.

Kicking off on RTÉ One on Wednesday, October 10th, Finding Joy is the new comedy series from Dublin actress Amy Huberman about a woman who is thrust into an unwanted world of social media stardom while in the midst of recovering from a break up.

Starring in the show alongside Laura Whitmore and Aisling Bea, Huberman will be on the couch to discuss the series, her excitement for its premiere and what it was like creating it from scratch.

On the topic of comedy, one of the nation's most successful stand-up exports in Dara Ó Briain will be on hand to give the details on his new science book for kids, Secret Science: The Amazing World Beyond Your Eyes, and will be revealing the supposed "secret science" behind everyday life.

Books are also a theme of the Late Late Show this week as the well-traveled Grand Tour presenter Francis Brennan will be speaking to Tubridy about his new book titled Gentleman Abroad: Francis Brennan’s Travel Tales. Brennan will be giving an insight into what you can expect from it, including some of the stories featured within, while broadcaster Mary Kennedy will be in the Donnybrook Studio to discuss the publication of her new book Home Thoughts from the Heart.  She'll elaborate on her new-found philosophies on and approaches to life, after experiencing a wake-up call last year after suffering a burn-out.

To top it all off, there'll be music from Killian Donnelly, who will be singing a classic from Les Miserables, as well as Derry singer SOAK who will be performing her new single 'Everybody Loves You'.
