Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) will be released in October next year.
A new trailer has just been shared for the anticipated sequel to 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, confirming that the next installment in Miles Morales' journey will be split into two parts.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) arrives in October 2022, with the new film picking up right where the previous entry ended with Miles chilling on his bed before Spider-Gwen visits him through an interdimensional portal.
The first film in the series was widely acclaimed, with some critics calling it the best Spider-Man film since 2004's Spider-Man 2. It won many awards, including Best Animated Feature at the 2019 Academy Awards, becoming the first non-Disney or Pixar film since 2011's Rango.
Shameik Moore, Hailee Stanfield and Oscar Isaac will all return for the new film.
In other web-slinger news, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) Spider-Man No Way Home is due for release this month on December 15.

Directed by Jon Watts, it's expected to be the last film centred on Tom Holland's portrayal of Spider-Man.
Due to an intriguing plot device, it will feature actors and characters from previous non-MCU Spider-Man films such as William Dafoe playing The Green Goblin and Alfred Molina as Dr Octopus.
