Black Mirror returns to the world's screens on June 15th, with Netflix today releasing an official trailer for five new episodes of the hit show. Fans have been warned to "expect the unexpected", as the award-winning anthology show's gripping and unpredictable plot lines unravel before their eyes.

Written and created by Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror was first commisioned by Channel 4 in 2011, before being bought by Netflix in 2015. There have been 22 unique episodes of the show prior to the upcoming season's release, as well as an interactive film, Bandersnatch, released in 2018.
Each episode follows a unique character's story, although every episode exists within the same Black Mirror universe, as confirmed in the final episode of Series 4, Black Museum.
Black Mirror has been met with both popular and critical acclaim. The show and its cast have been nominated for 14 Emmy awards, winning eight. Creator Charlie Brooker has won 7 awards for his work as a writer and executive producer on the dystopian sci-fi show.

Season 6 contains five episodes: Joan is awful, Loch Henry, Beyond the sea, Mazey day and Demon 79. Brooker is being joined by Jessica Rhoades, Annabel Jones, and Bisha K. Ali as executive producers for this season.
Season 6 also sees big Hollywood names like Aaron Paul, Salma Hayek Pinault, Kate Mara and Michael Cera making star appearances.
Previous actors to appear in Black Mirror episodes include Miley Cyrus, Andrew Scott, Jesse Plemons, Kelly MacDonald, Jon Hamm, Bryce Dallas-Howard and Domhnall Gleeson.
