The historical romcom is billed to hit the silver screens on July 12.
Starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, Fly me To the Moon is purported to be "a sharp, stylish comedy-drama" set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing.
The romantic comedy is directed by American screenwriter Greg Berlanti who is well known for his television work on series such as Riverdale, Dawson's Creek, and the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Fly Me to The Moon marks Apple and Sony's second cinematic partnership since Ridley Scott's epic biopic Napoleon.
A typical enemies to lovers tale, Kelly Jones (Johansson) is brought in to fix NASA’s public image, much to the contrition of Moon Landing launch director Cole Davis’s (Tatum).
When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as back-up.
