The legendary director's highly anticipated Bob Dylan documentary accompanies the release of the 14-CD Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1975 Live Recordings.
Netflix have shared the first trailer for Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story By Martin Scorsese. The highly anticipated documentary focuses on the 1975 leg of Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue - a North American tour on which he was joined by countless collaborators and guests, including Joan Baez, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Joni Mitchell, Ringo Starr and Patti Smith, among many others.
According to Netflix, Scorsese's film will feature Dylan's first on-camera interview in over a decade, as it explores the musician's "artistic self-reinvention".
The film accompanies the June 7 release of the monumental 14-CD boxset, Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1975 Live Recordings, part of the Official Bootleg Series.
The American filmmaker’s previous Dylan-themed documentary No Direction Home, released in 2005, won a Grammy Award for best long-form video. Dylan was also featured in Scorsese’s The Last Waltz, widely considered one of the greatest concert films of all time.
