Watch: New trailer for Sonic The Hedgehog starring Jim Carrey and James Marsden
Sonic The Hedgehog redeems itself after controversial first trailer.
After exploring his dramatic side in the TV series Kidding, Jim Carrey returns to comedic form in the live action adaptation Sonic The Hedgehog - complete with a ridiculous moustache.
The actor plays Dr. Robotnik, the main antagonist of the titular videogame character, whose plan it is to conquer the world. Of course, Sonic has to fight the evil scientist while also evading capture by the government with the help of Sheriff Tom Wachowski, played by James Marsden.
After the first trailer for Sonic The Hedgehog received massive backlash from fans, the new one made some notable changes to its iconic characters. For starters, new Sonic now has bigger eyes and smaller teeth while Jim Carrey's moustache shrunk in size.

Sonic The Hedgehog will be released in Irish cinemas on February 14.
