Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth star in the latest return to Academy Award-winner George Miller’s iconic dystopian Mad Max universe. The upcoming Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is an all-new original, standalone action adventure which reveals the origins of the powerhouse character from the multi Oscar-winning global smash Mad Max: Fury Road.

The film details the story of a young Furiosa, who is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the fearsome Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel ruled by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants fight for dominance, Furiosa faces her own battles to survive a series of trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

Miller penned the script with Mad Max: Fury Road co-writer Nico Lathouris, and produced the feature with his longtime partner Doug Mitchell under their Australia-based Kennedy Miller Mitchell banner.

The film sees Miller’s acclaimed behind-the-scenes creative team at work, with first assistant director PJ Voeten action designer Guy Norris, director of photography Simon Duggan, composer Tom Holkenborg, supervising sound editor Robert Mackenzie, editor Eliot Knapman, visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson and supervising colorist Eric Whipp joining forces.

The team also includes other longtime collaborator in the form of  production designer Colin Gibson, editor Margaret Sixel, production sound Ben Osmo, costume designer Jenny Beavan and hair and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt, each of whom won an Oscar for their work on Mad Max: Fury Road.

Starring alongside Taylor Joy and Hemsworth are Charlee Fraser, Tom Burke,  Alyla Browne and many more.
