Watch: Trailer for 'Yesterday', A Movie Where The Beatles Never Existed.
Watch: The first trailer for the movie 'Yesterday' by Danny Boyle.
Imagine a world without Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lennon and Ringo Starr. Danny Boyle has created a movie where The Biggest band that ever were, The Beatles, never existed. What would modern music sound like without the influence of the 20 number-one hits in the United States and 800 million albums sold worldwide created by the legends, The Beatles?
Struggling musician, Jack Malik, gets hit by a bus and wakes up in a world where nobody remembers The Beatles but him. Upon receiving a surreal response after performing one of their songs, stunned, Jack then pretends he wrote “Let It Be,” “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” and “Hey Jude.”
As his fame begins to rise, we see him struggle to balance his old and new life. Risking leaving girlfriend, Ellie, the one person who always had his back, in the dust. Will he continue to bask in The Beatles' glory, or will he realise that all you need is love?
The movie features Ed Sheeran, Lily James, Kate McKinnon, and Himesh Patel.
Release date: June 28 2019.
