Nashville's musical roots trace back to the late 1700s, when early settlers are said to have celebrated with fiddle tunes upon arriving on the shores of the Cumberland River.
The 1800s saw the birth of the city's most revered live music venue, the Ryman Auditorium. The space was the home of the Grand Ole Opry for over thirty years from 1943, and has hosted an array of country music greats, such as Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Patsy Cline.
"The connection between Irish and American country music runs deep and Nashville's iconic status as the capital of country music makes it a dream destination for music lovers," added Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus' Chief Customer Officer. "Its fast-growing fashion, finance, healthcare and automotive industries also offer plenty of opportunities for business travellers."
Aer Lingus are currently listing return flights fro Dublin to Nashville for €499.
